YM Tengku Dato' Sri Zafrul Bin Tengku Abdul Aziz
Tengku Dato’ Sri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz is the Group Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director of CIMB Group Holdings Berhad, a leading ASEAN universal bank and a world leader in Islamic finance with presence in 16 countries worldwide. He is also the Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director of CIMB Bank Berhad.
With over 20 years of experience in the financial services sector, specialising in Investment Banking, Zafrul’s last position was with Maybank Investment Bank Berhad and Maybank Kim Eng Holdings as Chief Executive Officer. He also held senior positions in Citigroup Malaysia, Kenanga Holdings Berhad and Avenue Securities (now known as ECM Libra). He also experienced being an entrepreneur by setting up Tune Money Sdn Bhd, Asia’s first “no-frills” online financial service provider.
Outside of CIMB, Zafrul is an advocate of Malaysia’s socioeconomic development and currently heads the Kuala Lumpur Business Club. He is on the boards of the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) and Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia. Zafrul is also actively involved in developing the youth of the nation – he is on the Advisory Board of the Young Corporate Malaysians and was also appointed by the Ministry of Education Malaysia as an Adjunct Professor at University Sains Islam Malaysia under the CEO Faculty Programme. He is also the Chairman of Enactus Malaysia Foundation, an international non-profit organisation aimed at grooming university students into future leaders. Zafrul is also an Honorary Commander of the Navy Volunteer Reserve under the Royal Malaysian Navy.
Zafrul graduated from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Economics and Accounting and obtained a Master of Arts (MA) in Finance and Management from the University of Exeter, United Kingdom. He also holds a fellowship with the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers.
YBhg. Dato’ Abdul Mutalib Bin Alias
Dato’ Abdul Mutalib Bin Alias was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of PR1MA on July 15, 2011.
Prior to this, Dato’ Abdul Mutalib, 51, was the special officer to Datuk Shaziman Abu Mansor as Works Minister as well as when he was Minister of Energy, Water and Communications. Before that, he served as political secretary to both the former Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Dato’ Sri Dr Jamaluddin Jarjis and also to former Finance Minister Tun Daim Zainuddin.
Before joining the government, Dato’ Abdul Mutalib had 15 years of working experience in the investment banking sector where he held various positions, including Vice-President of Investment Banking at The Chase Manhattan Bank from 1985 to 2000.
Dato’ Abdul Mutalib holds an MBA from Governors State University, Illinois and BSc Accounting from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois.
YBhg. Dato’ Ar. Aminuddin bin Abdul Manaf
Dato' Ar. Aminuddin Bin Abdul Manaf has a 24-year career background as an Architect and Interior Design consultant, providing consultancy services to both private and government sectors.
He started his career in the United States at Carl Safe Design Consultant and returned to Malaysia in 1989 to work for Alizar Architect. He was commissioned as a professional architect by the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM) in 1992.
Dato' Ar. Aminuddin holds a Master in Architecture from Washington University, St. Louis, USA and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Iowa State University, USA. He is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers and the Malaysian Institute of Architects.
YBhg. Tan Sri Dr. Sharifah Zarah Binti Syed Ahmad
Tan Sri Dr. Sharifah Zarah received her Ph.D in Strategic Social Planning from the School of Politics and International Relations, University of Leeds, United Kingdom in 1997, after completing a Masters Degree in Human Resource Development from the Graduate School of Public and International Relations, University of Pittsburgh, USA. Appointed as a Malaysian Diplomatic and Administrative Officer in 1981, she has been working in various Ministries in the home sector as well as in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Minister Counselor at Permanent Mission of Malaysia to the United Nations, New York).
Noorul Amilin Binti Mohd Daud
Noorul who holds a degree in Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Manufacturing Engineering with Management from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. She started her career in Information & Telecommunication industry 19 years ago when she joined a software development company, Telekom Applied Business Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Telekom Malaysia Berhad. She then joined multinational companies, Siemens and subsequently Cisco Systems, focusing on the Telecommunication Industry for more than 9 years. Prior to joining Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia as Vice President of ICT , Noorul was in Microsoft Malaysia working on various Enterprise IT projects for almost 3 years.
Having keen interest in both technology and business and a strong believer in technology as key business enabler, Noorul is responsible for establishing the ICT Blueprint for PR1MA and its conglomerate.
Under her responsibility to develop revenue generating ICT related services for PR1MA, Noorul worked on the setting up of PR1MA Communications Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary that is responsible for developing, designing, implementing, operating and maintaining IT and Telecommunication services in PR1MA Developments nationwide.
Upon the incorporation of PR1MA Comm, Noorul was appointed as the CEO to run PR1MA Comm’s business and operation. Noorul still holds the responsibility as part of senior management team in holding company, Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia, as Senior Vice President of IT & Telecommunication.
